IIT JEE Toppers List
- Pranav Goyal is the JEE Advanced topper this year. Pranav, who appeared for the exam from Roorkee zone scored 337 out of 360 marks.
- Sahil Jain from Kota region and Kailash Gupta from Delhi region secured second and third ranks, respectively.
- Among the female candidates, Meenal Parakh is the topper this year, who scored 318 out of 360 marks.
Candidates who want to join in the B. Arch. (Architecture) the program will have to pass in the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2018 are eligible to appear in AAT 2018.
Registration of Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) begins. JEE (Advanced) 2018 qualified candidates can log in to Candidate Portal (https://cportal.jeeadv.ac.in) to register for AAT.
AAT 2018 Schedule:
- Online AAT Registration begins: Sunday, June 10, 2018, 10:00 Hrs IST
- Online AAT Registration closes: Monday, June 11, 2018, 17:00 Hrs IST
The AAT will be held on June 14, 2018, from 09:00 Hrs IST to 12:00 Hrs IST at the following examination centres:
- IIT Bombay,
- IIT Delhi,
- IIT Guwahati,
- IIT Kanpur,
- IIT Kharagpur,
- IIT Madras,
- IIT Roorkee.
The students who have not able to clear their examination in the first attempt can reappear for the examination. As the IIT JEE, result plays a very important role in deciding the future of an individual.
So, keeping this in mind the IIT has decided to give a second chance to all those students who are not able to clear their main exam. Aspirants can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
IIT JEE Counselling 2018
Candidates will have to register for choosing seats and give their preferred options under the Joint Seat Allocation Authority which will begin on June 15.
Candidates who appeared for the Architecture Aptitude Test can fill their choices starting 18 June 2018.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will announce the first seat allotment on June 27. The final allotment for the seventh round will be announced on July 18.
The website of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority-2018 (jossa.nic.in) was launched on Wednesday, JEE chairman, professor Shalabh said in a statement.
To help candidates understand the counselling process, there will be two mock allotments on June 19 and 24. Candidates can rectify their choices until June 25, which is also the last date for registration.
Admission to IITs is conducted in two stages. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) first conducts Joint Entrance Examination (Mains). Thereafter, candidates who secure all-India rank up to 2,24,000 appear for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted by one of the IITs.
The mains exams are held in a single day over two paper, with each paper being of 180 marks, containing 60 marks for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. This year, IIT Kanpur conducted JEE (Advanced).
